Google launched it’s newest social media product, Google Buzz. You can not sign up for Google Buzz since it will automatically be integrated into you own Gmail account as a separate tab on the left. As usual with new Google products it is a bit confusing at first, but you will figure it out eventually. Google Buzz is a bit like Twitter mixed with Facebook and Google Wave, a status feed of all the things you like to share. Once you have your Google Buzz active it you can use the following features:
- No setup needed -Automatically follow the people you email and chat with the most in Gmail
- Share publicly or privately -Publish your ideas to the world or just to your closest friends
- Inbox integration -Comments get sent right to your inbox so it’s easy to keep the conversation going
- Photo friendly -See thumbnails with each post, and browse full-screen photos from popular sites
- Connect sites you already use -Import your stuff from Twitter, Picasa, Flickr, and Google Reader
- See updates in real time -New posts and comments pop in as they happen. No refresh required
- Just the good stuff -Buzz recommends interesting posts and weeds out ones you’re likely to skip
And it is still confusing, right? Check out the video, it explains the whole Google Buzz a bit better. And then try it out and play around with it. By the way, as usual for Google products they roll it out slowly, so dont worry if you dont see it in your account yet. Your Google Buzz will show up sooner or later. Let us know in the comments below please how you like it and how you gonna use your Google Buzz…
